simone

Simone started dancing at the age of six at Helga Velaba’s dans studio in Bressanone, Italy. First she performed Classic Ballet, later Jazz, Modern Dans and Flamenco. At eighteen, she was discovered by the Frensh Choreographer Anne-Marrie Porras in Bolzano during a workshop. Anne-Marie took her to Montpellier, France. That is where Simone started her professional dancing career and education. Eventually she graduated at the Dance Academy in Arnhem, The Netherlands. During and after her dance education, Simone gave dance classes at different primary and secondary dance schools in the Netherlands and abroad. She developed her own unique style and methodology.

She was part of Dance Collective Jazzerina, is now part of ELDC, does solo performances with her Flamenco program and choreographs for different dance groups and schools. She is also producting Funky Bite!

Besides her dancing career, Simone studies Management, Economy and Law at the College Of Amsterdam. (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) She wants to combine the art of dancing with this education in order to provide competent and independent consultancy to cultural and social authorities.

2006 Bachelor of Dance in Education (ArtEZ, College of arts). Majors: flamenco, classic dance, modern dance, general dance, improvisation and composition.


2001-2002 École Professionelle Supérieure d’Enseigment de la Danse, Montpellier, France.
One year advanced certificate in performance training in Contemporary, Classical ballet and Jazz, with a specialisation in Contemporary. Tutors: Anne-Marie Porras, Natascha Crouzet, Didier Barbe and Isabel Hernandes.


2001 International Baccalaureaat at the Gymnasium ‘J.Ph. Fallmerayer,’ Bressanone, Italy. Majors: Math, Chemistry, German Literature, Italian and History.
